This week on AYL we discover what the after effects of a forest fire, explore Canyon, smoke a chicken, and get a history lesson at Fremont Indian Park
1:00 – The 2017 Brian Head fire destroyed acres of land but the land is recovering beautifully. See for yourself by visiting Panguitch, Utah in Garfield County. They have miles of ATV trails you can go on and explore these mountains and the changing scenery.
5:46 – Arch Canyon, a scenic ATV ride just outside of Blanding Utah is home to 3 famous arches: Cathedral, Angel, and Keystone. Directions: Bottom of Comb Ridge in Comb Wash, turn at the north side of the highway and drive a little ways and right when you get to the river going across the bottom of the Wash, take a left. The trail is about 10miles long. For Specific Directions Call or visit Four Corners Adventures. The trail is not too hard and there is a lot of indian ruins. There are picnic areas as well.

19:18 – Explore the largest Fremont indians village in the world. Crews digging into a hill for fill when building the I-70 unearthed this Fremont Indian Village. Go inside their pit houses, and view the Fremont “art gallery”. Fremont State park has 2 campgrounds. The park is a great base to hit the Paiute ATV trail, The park also hosts an annual atlatl competition, (ancient spear throwing device).
